| After the successful tour of the Bhagavad Gita in 2002-2003, Viji Prakash presents Prince to Buddha- The Journey to Enlightenment. Premiered at the LA County Museum of Art in October 2003, and toured the USA in 2004. This epic production is the story of the Lion of the Shakya Dynasty- Siddhartha, and his transformation into the Buddha, the enlightened one. His journey into the middle path of love, non-violence, and compassion is viewed in this presentation through the eyes of his beloved wife Yashodara, who becomes his first female disciple. With a cast of 20 dancers led by Viji Prakash, the renowned dancer and choreographer whose Bhagavad Gita won rave reviews on its tours last year, this production includes the amazing dancer from Malaysia- Ajit Bhaskaran Das, the MGR award winner- Mythili Prakash and a strong ensemble of 20 dancers from the Shakti Dance Company, Los Angeles.
