Dance Yatra- High voltage performances of intense physicality and superbly coordinated footwork from South India's Bharata Natyam tradition combine with the deeply luminous technique of Odissi that was performed by temple dancers in Eastern India to form this highly spirited work.
Divine Movement- Madhvi Venkatesh, Shakti Dance Company member and recipient of the Alliance for California Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Grant, presented a series of unique selections accompanied by an ensemble of emerging young musicians.
Tales of Krishna- A special presentation by the Shakti Dance Company in conjuntion with the Tales of Krishna exhibit at the Los Angeles County Museum of  Art.
Nritya Naivedhyam - A Dance Offering- This Shakti Festival showcased the distinguished dancers, Priyadarshini Govind and Rama Vaidyanathan, from India as well as the Senior Shakti Dance Company soloists Uma Kadekodi, Kanti Charugundala, and Neela Moorthy.

Shiva Shakti- Shiva-Shakti re-creates the powerful dance of Shiva-Nataraja along with his consort, Shakti, in order to extol the universality of the undivided unity of the male and female principles that jointly create and harmonise the universe.

Basant Utsav- A unique festival that brought together many different styles of dance including Balinese, Belly, Bharata Natyam, Break, Bollywood, Bhangra, Kathakali, Odissi, and Mohinattam.
Prince to Buddha- The Journey to Enlightenment- This epic production is the story of the Lion of the Shakya Dynasty- Siddhartha, and his transformation into the Buddha, the enlightened one. His journey into the middle path of love, non-violence, and compassion is viewed in this presentation through the eyes of his beloved wife Yashodara, who becomes his first female disciple.
Sant Meera- A production portraying the trials and triumphs of one of India's most beloved saints, Mirabai.
Aum-Sho-Namah- As part of THE FESTIVAL OF SACRED MUSIC, world class artists offer exhilarating music and dance that seemlessly combine the splendour of India, Japan and Persia in an authentic and original production.
Dayaa Sethu (The Bridge of Compassion)- A presentation by Shakti Dance Company Member, Madhvi Venkatesh, to raise funds for the Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina victims as well as the Chinmaya Mission Mithila Center.
Bhav Chaturang- Senior Shakti dancers Uma Kadekodi, Sai Patil, Manisha Parekh, and Maya Kedekodi utilized Hindu mythology in order to present the four 'seasons' of emotion: Autumn, Winter, Spring & Summer.
Eternal and Evolving- Guru C.V. Chandrasekhar, is an acclaimed dancer, choreographer and teacher, whose interpretation of Bharata Natyam is very popularly known  worldwide. The senior dancers of Shakti who attended the dance camp conducted by Guru  C.V. Chandrashekhar and his wife, Jaya Chandrashekhar, will be dancing with him in this performance.

The Dance of Joy- Lila Kamhout was Viji Prakash's first student in 1977. Having danced worldwide, touring with her guru and the Shakti Dance Company, Lila after a long absence from performing, will dance a specially choreographed presentation celebrating the joy of dance, in her life.

Srilatha Vinod- Sreelatha Vinod, a celebrated disciple of the Dhanajayans, made her first solo dance appearance in Los Angeles. The first part of the performance showcased students who had worked with Sreelatha in the summer dance camp.
Guru Vandana- Sudha Doraiswamy Chandrashekar, the Vidyanjali Dance Company (Detroit), along with  the Shakti Dance Company come together to perform Guru Vandana, a tribute to Guru Kalaimamani Mahalingam Pillaii.
Dharma Chakra- Ajit Bhaskaran Das of Malaysia and the Shakti Dance Company performed Dharma Chakra, which emphasizes the need to live life with truth and integrity.
Bhagavad Gita- An extraordinary dance drama depicting the injustices of the Mahabharata and the restoration of truth and beauty as inspired by the tenets of the Bhagavad Gita.
Prince to Buddha- The Journey to Enlightenment- This epic production which tells the story of the Lion of the Shakya Dynasty- Siddhartha, and his transformation into the Buddha, the enlightened one, was presented at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) in conjunction with an exhibit on the Buddha.
Stree Katha - An original choreography by Mythili Prakash,
Stree Katha is a  unique Bharta Natyam presentation, that explores the three tragic women of The Epic Ramayana. This presentation not only represents the three women in a different prespective, but relates them to society and their relavance to everyday life.
Shiva Shakti - the most recent presentation of the Shakti Dance Company,.inspired by the hyms and chants, stories and mythological stories based on the ancient Hindu texts and scriptures, Shiva-Shakti re-creates the powerful dance of Shiva-Nataraja along with his consort Shakti. Several ancient stories are powerfully knit in this gripping spectacle of dance, music, costume, theatrical props and lighting - but the stories are not without purpose.

Tulsi Das Ramayana- Premiering in Washington D.C., Houston, Austin and lLos Angeles, Ramayana is based on the Sri Ram Charit Manas of Tulsi Das. Using world dance forms, HIndustani and Carnatic Music, elaborate sets and costumes  specially designed for this production the life story of the hero, Rama, from his birth to his coronation is portrayed. Raam Katha features extraordinary dancers from India, U.S.A., Indonesia, and Malaysia.

The annual program involves all students of Shakti School. Students are able to build confidence and poise on the stage and gain a strage presence in preparation for their arangetram. Students starting from the age of 5 participate in the annual program. Parents are able to see the transformation of each child's individual transformation in their dance each year.

Bragha Bessel's production of "Abhinaya"
Recognized for her exquisite abhinaya, Bragha Bessel is the quintessential Bharata Natyam dancer, having had intesne training with the venerated gurus of Bharata Natyam, Guru Kalanidhi Narayanan and Guru Adyar Lakshman. A leading exponent of the art form and based in Chennai, India, Bragha has many awards to her credit, having given numerous performances in India and abroad.

Shakti Dance Camp 2008 Performance
The Dance Camp is a two-week intensive workshop divided instensely into technique, dance items, and abhinaya (facial expressions). Amazing dance instructors such as Bragha Bessel, Mythili Prakash and Harikrishna Kalyansunderam came from India for the camp, which took place from July 3rd to July 17th, 2008.

Known for her bold modern themes and strong choreography, Vidhya has given as much as she has recieved from her background in the traditional Vazhuvoor style from the eminent Guru Sri S.K. Rajarathnam and the famous abhinaya eponent Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan. The Dance Camp is a two-week intensive workshop divided into technique, dance items, and abhinaya (facial expressions).This dance camp was conducted by dancer, choreographer, and composer Harikrishna Kalyanasundaram. During this camp many rare compositions of the Bharata Natyam reportoire were taught to the students.
